Organophosphate and Carbamate Insecticides
Organophosphate and carbamate insecticides such as chlorpyrifos, malathion, diazinon and methiocarb are now very rarely used domestically. They are highly toxic to dogs and cats and can even cause serious poisoning from skin exposure. Signs of ingestion include vomiting, diarrhoea, hypersalivation, muscle tremors and seizures.
