Magnets

Magnets come in all shapes and sizes and can be found in many kid’s toys, electronics, tools and equipment. When two or more magnets are ingested, they can cause serious gastrointestinal complications. Gastrointestinal tissue can be trapped between two magnets resulting in deep erosions or even gastric perforation which can be fatal. Popular neodymium rare earth magnets have much higher attraction and as such are even a greater risk.
